Covenant of Faith

Every church must establish a foundation of doctrines on which to build their
collective faith and fellowship. Doctrines, put simply, are beliefs or principles to
which one adheres. These doctrines provide the basis for the fellowship and
cooperation (
Amos 3:33) within a church family. There is no room for compromise
concerning these doctrines set forth. (
James 1:5 - 8).
Members of Shekinah Church have covenanted together, believing that agreement
on these 7 essential doctrines is necessary to ensure fellowship, cooperation, and
effectiveness in our purpose of ministry. These doctrines are
God, scriptures, creation,
man, sin, God's plan of redemption, and the church.

                                                     GOD

God is. 'Nuff said!
Ok. I'll say more.
It must be noted that the scriptures begin with the understood premise that God
exists. No argument is made for or against. No proof is offered. It simply states that
"God created..." (Genesis 1:1)
What proof we do have is what we realize in our hearts through observing His
creation and through what He does in our lives. God also reveals Himself to us
through His word, the Holy Bible. God reveals aspects of His Being throughout the
Bible.
God is revealed as a Tri-unal God, 3 in 1; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All three with
distinctive characteristics, yet all connected as One and the same. All Three were
present at creation  and all Three will be present at judgement and in Heaven.
God the Father is the will, the command center of the God-Head. His is the glory!
Everything comes from Him and everything will return to Him. He is the power of
creation. He is the "Man with the plan". God sees all and knows all. He can do
whatever and everything He wants to do.
God the Son is Jesus of Nazareth. God in the Flesh, walking and talking with man
(kinda like in the garden). He appears throughout the Old Testament in such events
as the creation, the save Sodom discussion with Abraham, and the fiery furnace.
But His grand entrance is in the New Testament gospel accounts of a baby born of
a virgin, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies.
